Virtual “murder” results in real arrest

A Japanese woman was arrested and faces a possible fine and prison term after allegedly hacking into and destroying the online avatar of her friend and “virtual husband” in the “Maple Story” online game. When interviewed by police, the woman said that she had been upset because her virtual husband had demanded an online divorce.
